ABOUT 2023-24 RIMC ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) conducts biannual entrance examinations to select candidates for admission and train them for defense services. It is important to note that applications are invited from boys only. The application form can be obtained from the RIMC website (www.rimc.gov.in) or collected from the college campus.
Admissions to RIMC are specifically for Class VIII. Therefore, candidates should be at least eleven and a half years old and must not have attained the age of 13 on January 1st or July 1st of the term they join.

INTERVIEW
Candidates who successfully qualify the written exam are required to appear for the Viva Voce, which carries a weightage of 50 marks. It is important to note that the minimum qualifying marks for each paper, including the Viva Voce, is 50%. If a candidate fails to achieve the minimum qualifying marks in any paper, they are considered disqualified.
The selection of candidates for admission is solely based on merit, ensuring that only the most deserving candidates are chosen.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Candidates who successfully qualify the written exam and interview are subsequently invited for a medical examination, which is conducted exclusively at designated military hospitals. The medical examination plays a crucial role in the admission process, as only candidates who are deemed medically fit are considered for admission to the RIMC.
